Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

For anyone who is married, you know it is a good tasting dinner when your husband (or wife!) requests a certain dinner to be made. :) I've had this one be requested by my husband. He asked for, "that tasty chicken with the barbecue sauce and stuff". I was happily compliant as it only has a few ingredients and is tossed into the slow cooker. It also goes with many different side pairings, so you change it up.

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Ingredients:
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (frozen or thawed)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 bottle BBQ sauce
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. garlic powder

Directions:
1.) Mix all ingredients except chicken in a bowl.
2.) Place chicken in a lined and/or cooking sprayed. Pour sauce mixture over chicken.
3.) Cook on Low 8 hours or High 6.

It is tasty to use different flavored or just regular BBQ sauce.
I recommend putting the brown sugar in first and then pouring the vinegar over that. It makes the sugar dissolve and you don't have to try to mash it up when mixing everything together.
I was cooking for several people. :)
Lookin' good already!
Corn and ranch style beans this time. I've also served with fries, salad, corn on the cob, other types of beans, and mac n' cheese.

Recipe adapted from Stick a Fork in it.
